“The Wolf” è una tipica trattoria di montagna a conduzione famigliare, che punta a proporre piatti t ipici della tradizione, ma andando incontro alle richieste dei clienti, personalizzando i menù e proponendo piatti di tipo vegetariano e vegano, ma suggerendo anche menù festivi e a tema.

Oltre a ristorante, è anche bar e pizzeria con forno a legna attivo durante i mesi di bella stagione, ma spesso anche durante l’anno.

L’obiettivo è accontentare il cliente per quanto possibile, reperendo prodotti da fornitori selezionati e, il più possibile di zona. 

Dar Bruttone Street Food – Cucina Romana dal 1922 è un’osteria che racchiude quasi un secolo di tradizione gastronomica romana, offrendo piatti autentici preparati con ingredienti freschi e ricette tramandate di generazione in generazione.

Il menù celebra i grandi classici della cucina capitolina: carbonara tartufata, amatriciana, cacio e pepe, trippa alla romana, coda alla vaccinara, abbacchio al forno e molto altro. Ogni portata è un omaggio alla semplicità e al gusto deciso della tradizione.

Completano l’esperienza antipasti sfiziosi, secondi ricchi di sapore e dolci artigianali come tiramisù, crema catalana e panna cotta aromatizzata.

Con uno stile rustico e un’atmosfera verace, Dar Bruttone rappresenta il vero spirito romano a tavola, tra convivialità, passione e identità.

Das Ristorante Pizzeria La Favola wurde 2010 von Mauro Marzoli gegründet. Im Oktober 2021 fand ein Generationenwechsel statt, bei dem Alejandro, der Schwiegersohn, das Restaurant übernommen hat. Seine Frau Luana ist für den Service verantwortlich. Gemeinsam haben wir zum Ziel, dass unsere Gäste das Lokal zufrieden und mit einem Lächeln verlassen können.

Unsere Räumlichkeiten versprühen mit den Steinmauern und Terraccottaziegeln ein warmes und rustikales Ambiente. Freundlichkeit gegenüber den Gästen liegt uns am Herzen. Im Innenbereich bieten wir Platz für bis zu 60 Personen. Im Sommer laden wir auch auf der Terrasse im kühlenden Schatten der Bäume ein. Für Kinder steht ein Spielplatz zur Verfügung.

About Us

Established in 1987, we are an independent, family run traditional Italian restaurant

based at the start of Compstall Road in Romiley, Stockport. Specialising in rustic Italian

home style cooking, open evenings only - 5pm till 10pm everyday except Monday.

Who is the Italian?

Originally from Naples, owner Ferdinando Mercogliano studied at catering schools in Vico Equense and in the centre of Naples before working across Italy and Switzerland, settling in England in the early 80’s.

Our recipes and the ideology behind everything we do and make come from Ferdinando. Many of the dishes we make here today are made the same way that he learnt from his mother and grandmother. Hailing from a part of Naples famous for its pasta making history, cooking is in the Mercogliano family blood.

Now a grandfather, Ferdinando is based both here in Stockport and in Lucca, Tuscany. Sharing his time between Italy and England means Ferdinando guarantees constant fresh and original menu ideas, using the best local and seasonal ingredients. Trusting the day to day running of the kitchen to a carefully selected fantastic team of chefs.

In charge of the restaurant you will find his eldest son Alessandro. A true typical Italian family business!

Ferdinando's deep passion for Italian cooking is infectious and it has truly passed down in the generations of his family. Our heads, hands and hearts are firmly in the kitchen and we are driven to offer customers good food, value for money and a true taste of Italy.

Now well into our 37th year of trading here in Romiley, we are more passionate than ever for what we do. We have recently expanded, and we now have 8 more tables in a new downstairs area. Complete with another bar, facilities and our usual friendly service.

The Coach House Restaurant

Once a Coach house to the nearby Manor, this hidden restaurant tucked away in the grounds of the Garden Centre has an old world charm all of its own and has been a favourite for  discerning diners for nearly thirty years.

A wide choice of excellent dishes are on the menu with our produce fresh from the market daily. Our fine wine list complements the menu perfectly, and a special two-course menu is available at lunchtimes.

Way back in 1080, William the Conqueror gave the land at Rokesle, as it was then known, to his half-brother, Odo, Bishop of Baieux. He rented this out to a certain Malgerius who assumed the name Malgerius of Rokesdale. At that time, eight knights commanded by William were given the task of defending Dover Castle and Malgerius did his annual twenty-day stint.

To this day, you still enter Dover Castle through the Ruxley gate.

Down the ages, various families have occupied the Manor House. Gregory de Rokesdale became Lord Mayor of the City of London from 1274 to 1285, this being perpetuated in a tablet on the wall of Lloyds Bank in Lombard Street. The present house dates from the 17th Century with later additions, although some of the interior is probably 15th or 16th Century.

To the right of the house is a large Mulberry tree which goes back to between 1610AD and 1615AD, when it was decreed in James 1st time that all landowners should be encouraged to produce silk. However, silkworms only enjoyed white mulberries and, unfortunately, the blue variety was planted.

Today, the Manor House has been converted into a Children’s Day Nursery under the name of Grace’s, she being the last member of the family to live there.

Nelle altre sedici camere (sulla facciata, otto doppie e otto triple) c’è il ventilatore.

Salvatore è un maestro pizzaiolo, istruttore nella scuola "Verace Matura" di Napoli. Legato alla sua terra di origine così come quella di adozione è entusiasta di condividere l'amore per il suo mestiere con tutti coloro che entrano nella sua pizzeria.

Pizzeria Napule é rappresenta l'unica vera e autentica pizzeria napoletana di Lanciano e dintorni.
